The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has once again achieved academic excellence through the Postgraduate Graduation Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. A total of 23 graduates were inaugurated in a solemn ceremony, consisting of 10 men and 13 women from various postgraduate study programs.

In this graduation, the Faculty of Agriculture gave special appreciation to top graduates with outstanding academic achievements. The Best Doctoral Graduate was awarded to Hoerussalam from the Phytopathology Study Program with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.98 and a study period of 3 years, 4 months, and 2 days. The title of Youngest Graduate was awarded to Muhammad Fajar Ridqi from the Master of Agricultural Economics Study Program at the age of 23 years, 2 months, and 22 days. Meanwhile, the Fastest Graduate was achieved by Muhammad Azzar Kashi with a study period of 1 year, 4 months, and 6 days. read more

Prof. Ani Widiastuti, S.P., M.P., Ph.D., from the Department Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), has officially begun her new journey as a professor at the Department of Applied Biology, Ibaraki University, Japan. This assignment is carried out through a cross-institutional scheme that allows lecturers to perform academically at more than one university, marking the first implementation of such a scheme between Ibaraki University and UGM.

During her approximately one-month assignment, Prof. Ani conducted teaching activities at the Faculty and Graduate School of Agriculture, Ibaraki University. The topics covered included climate-adaptive agriculture and plant protection strategies. Additionally, Prof. Ani was involved in international collaborative research and social implementation programs supporting local agricultural development in Ibaraki Prefecture. read more

The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Implementation Unit of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UP Faperta UGM), organized a Ramadan 1447 H social service activity on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Agrotropica Learning Center (AGLC) Building of the Faculty of Agriculture.

The event was attended by several faculty leaders, including Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., Dr. R.A. Siti Ari Budhiyanti, S.T.P., M.P., and Dr. dr. Camelia Herdini, M.Kes., Sp.THTBKL., Subsp. Onk(K)., FICS., who expressed their support for the social initiative. read more
