The Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) remains consistent in its efforts to support the well-being of students during the 2024/2025 Academic Year’s Final Semester Examinations (UAS) through the Pondasi Program. This program provides free breakfast every morning for students from 2–17December, 2024, at the Faculty of Agriculture’s Healthy Cafeteria.
The program offers 200 nutritious breakfast servings daily to support students in focusing on their exam preparations without worrying about breakfast. With adequate nutrition, it is hoped that students will be able to face the exams optimally.
The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., explained that the purpose of this program is not only to support students but also to assist the economy of the vendors at the Faculty of Agriculture’s Healthy Cafeteria. Each vendor is required to provide healthy breakfast options with balanced nutrition, including animal protein, while using environmentally friendly and biodegradable packaging.
“In addition to providing direct benefits to students, this program is also expected to foster empathy among students and a love for their alma mater. So, when they graduate, they will feel the urge to contribute as donors,” said Weny.
This program is supported by Kopi Roti Dua Kerbau. The Faculty also expresses appreciation to all donors who have contributed to the continuation of this program, demonstrating strong synergy between the faculty, students, and the external community.
This initiative also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by creating a healthy and productive campus environment during exam periods.
