Paguyuban Luhur Jiwo, as one of the targets of the community service team from the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (Prodi PKP) at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, successfully won second place at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Local Leaders Forum for Disaster Resilience (APLL4DR) in Manila, the Philippines, on October 14, 2024. Paguyuban Luhur Jiwo, represented by Yustina Wardani, received support from the Prodi PKP community service team, coordinated by Mesalia Kriska, S.P., M.Sc., particularly in the creation of a profile video of the community’s activities, which was compiled by Abdurahman Agosto, S.T., and Ishadiyanto Salim, S.Pd., M.Pd. as a supporting element for the presentation. read more

On Saturday, 21 September 2024, the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) hosted the 14th National Agricultural Research Seminar at the Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium as part of the 78th Anniversary of the Faculty. One of the keynote speakers was Prof. Ir. Kurniatun Hairiah, Ph.D., a renowned expert in soil biology and root ecology, and a Professor from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya. Prof. Kurniatun, familiarly known as Prof. Cho, delivered a presentation titled “Optimizing Land Use through Agroforestry for Climate Change Adaptation and Food Sovereignty.” read more

After successfully initiating the International Undergraduate Class (IUC) in 2023, the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) is once again organizing the IUC for the 2024 undergraduate students. Registration for the IUC for the Odd Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year was open until 16 August 2024. Undergraduate students from the 2024 cohort who are interested in joining the IUC learning scheme are required to have English language proficiency, proven by a minimum score equivalent to TOEFL 450. read more
