The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada held the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period I of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, celebrating the graduation of 86 students. This includes 78 Master’s (S2) graduates and 8 Doctoral (S3) graduates. Notably, 8 of the Master’s graduates are from the Fast Track program, having completed their undergraduate and master’s degrees in less than five years. Among them, Elia Laila Rizkya, a Fast Track graduate, became the youngest graduate with a perfect GPA of 4.0, earning her the title of the best Master’s graduate at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM and the youngest graduate in Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Students from SMA IT Ar-Raihan Bandar Lampung visited the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) in the Campus Visit event on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, at the Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. This event aims to introduce the Faculty of Agriculture, the admission process at UGM, as well as future career opportunities from each department at Faperta UGM.
“Our goal is to facilitate students who aspire to study at UGM, including the Faculty of Agriculture. We are here to learn more about the UGM campus and the fast-track program offered. We hope that through this visit, we can provide new insights for the students in choosing their future education,” said Zayyad Namiri M.Pd.I, Education Director of SMA IT Ar-Raihan Bandar Lampung.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the six departments at the UGM Faculty of Agriculture, namely the Department of Fisheries, Agricultural Socioeconomics, Agricultural Microbiology, Soil Science, Plant Pests and Diseases, and Agricultural Cultivation. They were also provided with an explanation of the research fields in each department, the prospects for graduates, scholarship opportunities, student exchange programs, as well as flagship programs such as the fast-track and International Undergraduate Class (IUC). Additionally, the students were given a tour of the campus facilities that support academic and research activities at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM.
Muhammad Rafi Gunadi, a student from the Bachelor Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (2023) at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM (Faperta UGM), has brought pride to the Faculty of Agriculture UGM on the international stage. Rafi, along with his colleague Khansa Eka Maulana (Geographic Information Systems 2024), won a gold medal in the Research for College Students category at the 3rd International Conference of Biological Science (ICoBioS) X OBC 2024 held at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, on 28-29 September 2024.
