Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held an orientation event for students participating in the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program on Thursday, 8 August 2024. The event was attended by eight awardees from various countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea, and Japan. The purpose of the event was to introduce the campus and Indonesian culture. The eight AIMS students include Madelene Irene Arcilla (Philippines – UPLB), Bouakeo Phanthanouvong (Vietnam – TUAF), Jisoo Park (South Korea – GNU), Jinwon Gang (South Korea – GNU), Yuwa Takagi (Japan – Ibaraki Univ), Koko Nomura (Japan – Ibaraki Univ), Onose Takuma (Japan – TUAT), and Chiharu Soejima (Japan – TUAT). read more

Dean of Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D. and Founder & CEO of PT Inamas Synthesis Technology (INASTEK), Yosef Adhitya Duta Dewangga, S.T., M.Eng,  had inaugurated a new innovation in the agricultural sector called Intelligent Contained Climate Controlled Farming (I-C3F) on 31 July 2024.

This inauguration was also attended by Dr. Dyah Weny Respatie, S.P., M.Si., as Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. R.A. Siti Ari Budhiyanti, S.T.P., M.P., as Deputy Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources. In a strategic collaboration, Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) had a discussion to team up with the PT Sumitomo Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) to advance the integration of information technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) in agriculture. This partnership was discussed during an audience held on Thursday, 29 August 2024, in the Venture Room, AGLC Building, with the representatives from Sumitomo, NTT, along with the dean, vice-dean, head of departments, and head of units in Faculty of Agriculture UGM. read more
