The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM), continued the Summer Course on Sustainable Tropical Agriculture 2025 (SC-STA 2025) on its second day, Tuesday, 5 August 2025, with an educational visit to Wanagama Eco Edu Park, located in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta Special Region.

Participants from various countries, including Singapore, Bangladesh, Gambia, and the Philippines, were guided by Prof. Ir. Irfan Dwidya Prijambada, M.Eng., Ph.D., and Dr. Najmu Tsakib Akhda, S.P., M.Sc., to gain a deeper understanding of the functions and roles of Wanagama Forest in sustainable tropical forestry management. read more

A Team from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully clinched first place in the Business Plan Competition (BPC) at the 2025 National Cooperative Jamboree (Jamkopnas), held at Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, from 28-30 May 2025.

The winning team was led by Ghiffari Putra Agoeng (Faculty of Agriculture, 2023), with team members Muhamad Dafin Attoriq (Faculty of Engineering, 2023) and Falinkha Nazzara Ardya Varally (Faculty of Economics and Business, 2024). In addition, UGM’s Student Cooperative (Kopma UGM) also delegated Indah Amalia Indrayani (Vocational School, 2024) to accompany the team. They were further supported by Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, SE., Akt., M.Com. as academic supervisor and Desi Utami, S.P., M.Env.Sc., Ph.D., as an advisor with expertise in microbiology. read more

On Wednesday, 15 January 2025, the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) held a socialization event on the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from 09.00 to 11.00 AM at the Prof. Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium. The event was moderated by Desi Utami, S.P., M.Env.Sc., Ph.D., a head of Information System and Media Unit, Faperta UGM and featured Dr. Hatma Suryatmojo, S.Hut., M.Si., Director of the Directorate of Academic Innovation and Studies at UGM, as the main speaker. read more
