In celebration of its XV Lustrum, the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) Library organized a series of engaging activities on Friday, 6 September 2024. The event, themed “Library Literacy Week: 75th Anniversary,” welcomed students, faculty members, and staff of the Faculty of Agriculture and featured activities including a fitness session and an awards ceremony for winners of the XV Lustrum Library challenges.

The event began with a group exercise session held at the Faculty of Agriculture’s Stage Area. Participants from diverse backgrounds enthusiastically followed the movements led by a professional instructor. AgriFest 2024, organized by UGM’s Center for Agrotechnology Innovation (PIAT), provided a platform for a Faculty of Agriculture UGM student to practice public speaking skills. On the first day of the national talk show held on Thursday, 5 September 2024, Havidah Tria Yunita, a student from the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (class of 2021), was entrusted as the moderator for Session I. The Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture at UGM once again held Pagelaran Kasongo 2024. This biannual event, now in its ninth edition, carried the theme “Young Agri-AIvolution.” The head of the organizing committee, Shafira Azkia Afham, S.P. (Alumnus of the PKP Program), shared that Pagelaran Kasongo aims to introduce the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (Prodi PKP) to the wider community and increase the interest of young people in the agricultural sector. read more
