Franky Sanjaya Galingging, a student of the Soil Science Study Program (2022) at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada University (Faperta UGM), had the opportunity to be one of the awardees in the Six Universities Initiative Japan Indonesia Service Learning Program (SUIJI-SLP) 2024. This program is a collaboration of a consortium of six prestigious universities in Japan and Indonesia, including Ehime University, Kagawa University, Kochi University, IPB University, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Hasanuddin University.

The Soil Science Student Association (KMIT) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faperta UGM) commemorated its 50th anniversary (Lustrum X) with a meaningful community service initiative. As part of the celebration, KMIT UGM organized a river clean-up and ecoenzyme release in Kali Code, addressing the persistent issue of river pollution. This activity reflects the students’ concerns about environmental sustainability and their efforts to introduce eco-friendly solutions for water purification.
The Undergraduate Program in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA), Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), has successfully achieved “Excellent” accreditation status from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), valid from 5 November 2024 to 10 July 2029. This achievement is a recognition of the Faculty of Agriculture’s commitment to delivering high-quality education aligned with industry and societal needs.
The “Excellent” accreditation was granted after a rigorous evaluation process conducted by BAN-PT, which included assessments of the curriculum, facilities, faculty qualifications, and research conducted within the faculty.
