Commemorating the XV Lustrum, Faculty of Agriculture Library Holds Exciting Events

In celebration of its XV Lustrum, the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) Library organized a series of engaging activities on Friday, 6 September 2024. The event, themed “Library Literacy Week: 75th Anniversary,” welcomed students, faculty members, and staff of the Faculty of Agriculture and featured activities including a fitness session and an awards ceremony for winners of the XV Lustrum Library challenges.

The event began with a group exercise session held at the Faculty of Agriculture’s Stage Area. Participants from diverse backgrounds enthusiastically followed the movements led by a professional instructor. The fresh morning atmosphere added to the participants’ enthusiasm for exercising together. read more

UGM Students Enthusiastically Learned Japanese with Two Instructors from Yamagata University at Faculty of Agriculture

A total of 388 students from various faculties at Universitas Gadjah Mada participated in the Japanese Class Nihongo No Nakama, held from 2-11 September 2024, at the Rachmiwaty Building of UGM’s Faculty of Agriculture. The event featured two student mentors from Yamagata University, Japan: Rina Shirahata from the Art Major, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Haruka Ishiguro from the Mass Media Communication Major, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Participants were divided into small groups of 30 people and engaged in learning Japanese, covering topics such as basic hiragana and katakana scripts, fundamental grammar, and daily conversations like greetings and self-introductions. read more

UGM Agricultural Extension and Communication Student Serves as Moderator for National Talk Show at AgriFest 2024

AgriFest 2024, organized by UGM’s Center for Agrotechnology Innovation (PIAT), provided a platform for a Faculty of Agriculture UGM student to practice public speaking skills. On the first day of the national talk show held on Thursday, 5 September 2024, Havidah Tria Yunita, a student from the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program (class of 2021), was entrusted as the moderator for Session I. The session’s theme was “Strengthening Food Security Programs to Realize the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045”. read more
